Relief Society’s ‘Something Extraordinary’ Birthday Celebration!

Last Thursday we had our RS Birthday celebration. It was soo much fun! We watched this great video, I can’t seem to upload it but the website is:

We also worked on ‘no sew’ fleece blankets and played a ‘getting to know you’ game. We had 18 pictures of some of the sisters in the ward with 3 facts about them to try and guess who they were. My good friend, Leah, won the prize, GUESS WHO! We had a great cake done by another sister in the ward who is extremely talented. Mark was on babysitting duty with 2 other elders. It was funny to peak your head in to the nursery. The older kids were all playing hand-held games, the middle age group was watching a video and the youngest were just chilling on the floor in front of the men. I love getting together with the other sisters and just have fun together!
Can you guess which one was me? My 'fun facts' were: a) I’ve never been out of the country b) the first time I drove a car (and crashed a car) was when I was 3 c) I wanted to go to Ohio on my honeymoon but instead went to Hawaii which is where my husband wanted to go.
Still not sure? This one is me, don't you think Julie looks just like I did as a kid?
Here is a picture of the set up, I thought the decorations were so cute! Everything turned out great.
These are the 'no sew' blankets we did...Thank you JoAnn's for having a sale right before, saved us a lot of money :)
Here's the nursery with the elders and kids.
Thanks everyone who helped out, came or even just sent in a picture. Can't wait to get together again sometime soon!

SuNsHiNe

My mother was out shopping and saw this outfit for Julie she just HAD to buy, I love grandmas!

Drive Thru Fun

A few weeks ago, Jack in the Box had a special where you buy a large drink and you get a free sandwich. A couple of friends and I went to have some free food and when we were getting ready to leave we see this truck pulling a trailer FULL of stuff, including what looked like a washing machine, ordering from the drive thru. We thought that we'd watch him since it was such an odd thing to do and were we happy we watched! It was a "you had to be there" moment but this guy had to attempt the turn (after you order you have to turn a corner to get to the window) a few times and I think then he even rolled over the curb. Anyway, I got a picture, it's not the best but you can attempt to see the trailer full of stuff. You'll have to leave the rest to your imagination. Have fun!

Teething...Ugh

So I think Julie is teething. She was extremely needy yesterday, soaked the front of her onesie in about 30 minutes, went through about a thousand tissues and was tugging on her ear. Today she was so fussy, had a temperature of 100.5, took two naps for about 40 mintues total instead of her usual two 2 hour naps. It was a very hard day. Finally around 5:00 I was standing, rocking her in my arms and she fell asleep....YAY!!! I sat down, carefully, held her in my arms and just let her sleep. It was a much needed nap for her and much needed rest for mom. It was about 2 hours total. When she woke, we got her in her jammies, gave her some fever reducer med, gave her some dinner and put her down. I was so nice having her sleep so soundly in my arms after such a hard day. I hope she feels better soon! I hate having my happy, smiley baby cry almost all day and be in such pain. I hope she does better with her other teeth, so far she just has the 2, I don't know if I can handle all of them being this bad.
