Mystery Package!

Today I got a visit from UPS...Oh, what could it be???Pay close attention to how big the box is, it's a small box but just wait...
That's right, all that was in there was this LITTLE box and two papers, oh and the "filler" paper. Julie was so much help!So what is this mystery package you might still be wondering?FREE SAMPLES!!! It's a night cream for bags under your eyes. I just thought it was great that they sent something so small in such a big box. Julie couldn't keep her hands off of this stuff! I'll let you know how I like it after I try it out for a bit too. Did you get any? Thanks hip2save!

Sunburn Update

I meant to post this sooner. A day or two after Julie got her first sunburn, this happened...I felt so bad, a big old blister. She seemed to not even notice. During her nap time this same day she must have scratched it or something because she woke up and it wasn't as full and she ended up with a bloody scar for a few days, which she ended up scratching off right before church so no one even noticed. I didn't get pictures of any of that but here were a few more I was able to get out of her that first day. She was playing the runaway game with me so it was hard getting any pictures from her.

My 29Th BiRtHdAy!

Yesterday was my 29th birthday, I'm not scared to tell you my age. The activities started Monday when I got to go bowling with a friend, Kelsey, whom I haven't seen in a while. I took my kids to my VT and headed out to Carson. It was so much fun! We played 3 games and I wont' tell you who won or our scores (I don't want to embarrass Kelsey) but the best part was just being able to catch up a bit. I had such a great time!

So, back to Tuesday, Mark switched his days off work so he had yesterday off (but he gets to work Saturday) and made me breakfast as soon as I woke up, which he let me sleep in too. I had an egg sandwich with spam and toast. I did still have to work some but I work from home so it was ok. I only worked for about an hour and a half and then I went to take a nap. It's really sad, I know, but with allergies I haven't been sleeping well. After I woke we went into Reno for dinner at the Outback Steakhouse. I've been wanting to go there for about a week now. They have a special going on where you get crap and a steak for $14.00! We both got that. It was super yummy! Afterward we went to the mall, I got to look in some stores but the real reason we were there....DIPPIN' DOTS! These are my favorite! It might not seem like we did much but it was restful and enjoyable to spend time with my family and to know that Mark cares so much for me! Yay for birthdays!!!

KiSsEs!

Julie hasn't been as into kisses as Andrew was when he was her age. He would give kisses on command where Julie has to be in the mood or you have to catch her just right. When she does give kisses, like most babies I'm sure, she likes to open her mouth wide. We usually just do a kiss in her mouth so it makes a cool sound and she gets all excited. Well, the little neighbor boy was playing with her during church on Sunday, like they usually do since they aren't 18 mo yet for nursery and they like to disrupt class, and she was playing on the couch and wanted to give him, Koa, kisses. This is the picture Mark got...SO CUTE! She's practually eating his nose, I know. They gave each other a few kisses, then after I got there and we switched for the last meeting I was telling Koa's mom about it. She then tried to get them to kiss, Koa was puckering up but Julie had had enough. She turned shyly and just giggled. She's so cute and I love seeing these two play together. Good thing Koa's mom and I get along and are also visit teaching companions so they get to see each other often. We love you Erickson's!

First Sunburn of the Season

Today I took the kids to the park. We left here about 10:30, drove 15 min to a near by park to meet up with some friends and were home by 12:30 so all in all, we weren't outside for very long. I, of course, forgot the sunscreen until we got there so I tried to keep the kids out of the sun but that didn't work since there weren't many trees. Andrew made it out okay but Julie got her very first sunburn :( She's doing really well so far, she's had LOTS of water and we've been putting lots of aloe vera goop on her. I feel so bad, such a bad mom. I'm going to go out and buy a small thing of sunscreen and leave it in my purse just incase for next time. Here is her sunburn and her happy little face, I just love this girl! This is my beautiful farmer's tan due to how I was sitting, silly me.Here's my arm, not the best picture, I know but when I have to take it myself, this is what you get.The front of her is soaked since she LOVES drinking from the sports bottle and I wanted her to get lots of liquid I let her spill all over. It's just water right?

Kids Say The Funniest Things...

I was cooking dinner when my 4 1/2 year old, Andrew came in. I looked at him and said, "Did you know....that I LOVE you?!?" His response? "I will always know that, until I'm a teenager, then I'll forget" Where do they come up with this stuff???

A Family of Secretaries

When Mark and I first moved into the ward I was called as the ward bulletin and Mark was called to be the assistant to the Elder's Quorum Secretary. Less than a year later I was called to the Relief Society Secretary and I've loved every minute of it. Today, I'm so happy to announce that Mark was called to be the Executive Secretary (the Bishop's secretary). It looks like we get to learn all sorts of secretarial responsibilities. I'm so happy for my husband and I know he'll do a great job. We have a wonderful bishopric and a wonderful ward in general. I look forward to our many adventures to come.
