Valentine's 2010

Every year I make a card for Mark using handprints and decorating his truck. This year was no different. I put up our handprints and made them into the 'I love you' in sign language holding a heard. Also, Mark and Andrew have been really into playing Star Wars. I got Mark some little SW figurines to keep in his truck to think of Andrew when he's driving to and from work. Here's what it looked like... I also wanted to make Valentine cards for Andrew's Sunday school class. I looked online for some ideas and I saw some butterfly pencils (they cut out the wings and for the body of the butterfly they use the pencil). I went to Walmart for some ideas and found these bubbles in tubes. PERFECT! Kids LOVE bubbles much more then pencils! I went over to my friend, Leah's house and we made some Valentine's gifts, here's how they turned out, I'm so proud myself!

Mark stayed home from Church, he wasn't feeling well. When we got home we found this on the door:And he had this sign hung up. It's a mess since Mark was sick and Andrew was still recovering I had slacked on the cleaning. It was really cute of Mark to make something for us though. Here's how the kids looked at church. So cute! They are great kids, I love them very much!!!

She's getting hair!?!?!

This post is for my mom. This proves that Julie is getting hair :)

Star Wars over Dinosaurs???

As anyone who's ever met Andrew knows, he's way into dinosaurs. It was so obvious that anytime he would get a present from someone it was a dinosaur gift. I had to start throwing out some of his toys every other month to keep the house clean. He'd pull out all of his dinosaurs looking for his favorite. Well, it happened. Andrew got interested in something other than dinosaurs!!! I'm so excited! For Christmas we got him his first action figures and a light saber. Since then we have been using other SW action figures as bribes if he goes potty at school without any accidents. IT WORKED! We've offered him dinosaurs in the past but that didn't motivate him. I was getting so worried because he'd never have accidents at home yet anytime we left the house he would always have one. He's gotten so good at potty training that now he'll even tell me when he needs to go when we are at Smiths or Target or wherever. I'm so THRILLED!!! Here are some of the fun pics we have of him with his new toys...

You might notice the snow boarding boots of Dad's but look closely, he added Darth Vader and a storm trooper to the top of the boots...Mark and I play Lego Star Wars and the Wii, such a fun game! Andrew likes to watch us play. We found a Lego shirt at Walmart and it's turned into his FAVORITE SHIRT! I found Andrew playing in Julie's crib (which is really funny since it was his when he was younger but HATED it and the first time he slept through the night as a child is when we moved his crib out of the bedroom and replaced it with a queen top mattress on the floor)...This has to be my favorite. We didn't have a ship for any of the toys so Andrew being the cleaver kid that he is came up with this, both Mark and I think it's GREAT!
My mom also made him a crayon roll. It's so cute and I know Andrew was way excited when he got it. She did such a great job!

Some of Julie

Here are just some fun pictures of Julie, mainly for my mom to see her... Here are the keys my mom bought for her, she loves to "share"...Feeding time...I tried giving her a mohawk, it's kinda hard to see...She loves anything she can put into her mouth, she's so cute and we just LOVE her!!!

Working Out

Well, at least one person in this family is working out (Don't mind the mess in the background, it was cleaning day)...

Shades

I don't know what it is about kids and sunglasses but I think they are so cute! I took the one of Andrew a while back, before Julie, before moving to Nevada. The one of Julie is just a week or two ago...

Mr Potato Head

As a child I was fond of Mr. Potato Head (MPH). As I've grown older and MPH has come out with holiday parts my love for him has grown. When I was at Target the other day I saw a shirt for my son. He's not as big of a fan but I still had to get it for him. We also have a magnet set for the fridge, that's what he's holding. He can't just smile like I want him to so this is the best I could get...
