Park Play

Andrew's birthday was August 18th. He got some cash from his grandparents so we took him to Toys R Us. We were thinking he'd get a Star Wars toy until we saw the bikes. He wasn't as excited mainly because we've told him no before but this time, we suggested a bike and he was super excited! We had picked out a great bike and were just about ready to get it until we remembered that I drove, which means we had my car and not Mark's truck. Anyway, we went shopping that next weekend and found him another bike. The new bike has a handle that you 'rev' like a motorcycle. He LOVES it! Since we live on a hill he can't really ride it often so we went to the park. Our park is great for some things, not for others. It has a great basketball cemented area we took him for practice. Julie didn't get left out, we bought Andrew a motorized 4 wheeler for Christmas a few years ago so Julie got to ride that. She had such a great time, doesn't know how to steer it but it worked well. Anyway, here are some pics...
After playing with the bikes (Julie chased Andrew a lot, she loves her brother!) we went to the play area. There were some teenage boys just sitting around, making it kind of hard for them to play so we waited until they left.It was such a hot day. Once we came home I let the kids play outside. I forgot that we had the pool out still and had water in it until Andrew came to find me. Apparently Julie climbed in, shoes, socks, clothes and all. At least she had fun and stayed cool.
